Spiral of Life II Installation

At the end of June 2015 I was excited to discover that two of my artworks were chosen to be part of the Fine Arts Exhibition at the Ohio State Fair. One of them is my Spiral of Life installation and the other is a small artwork called "The Red Wagon."

Here is a picture of "The Red Wagon" it is a small found object sculpture.

The Spiral of Life installation would take me about 3-4 days to set up on sight at the Cox Fine Arts Building at the Ohio State Fair.

 Here is the Cox Fine Arts Center on the Ohio State Fairgrounds.

 It is right next to the "OHIO" entrance off of 11th Street at the fair.

 Here is my installation. I managed to get it into three boxes.

 It is placed in a great spot right in the middle of the building!

Here is the installation complete....it took me 4 days (about 16 hours) to complete. Looking forward to seeing how everyone likes it at the Fair!

Pop up Fun Last Day

Our last day of Pop-up Fun...We did lots of things. We created family pop-up theaters, learned origami and made fun hats.

 

 

 We created Fun Family Paper Theaters

  We also learned origami later in the morning.

 We created hats in the afternoon.

 And did more origami with our friends from the other class.

It was a great week of Pop-up Fun!

Good News! 

I would like to share some good news for the week...These two pieces of my artwork have been accepted to the Ohio State Fair!

Today we created pop-up cities in the morning and in the afternoon we finished our cities and created star books and did some origami, too.

We are making paper theaters and hats on Friday!

We made pop-up houses today....and even a horse stable too!

We looked at pre-made  pop-up houses first

Then we spent all morning creating our own.

Tomorrow we are going to make a pop-up city.

We have a very small group this week only 3-4 kids in my group in the morning and only one in the afternoon. But I think we will have lots of fun learning how to make pop-ups!
